2020: The Year of Change

2020 certainly started off like any other year, but March came, and with that…everything as we know it changed. This has been a difficult and challenging year for all of us as we learned to handle this change, and adjust to our new normal.

I was so lucky and fortunate to continue working throughout the year at my day job (production manager at my local public access tv station) but naturally my freelance work suffered…and there was nothing you could do about that, you go along with the change, but also I kept reminding myself that there are a lot of other folks out there in worse conditions in their lives…and they need the help way more than me.

Though, I was fortunate to have a few gigs this past year that are worth mentioning.

I went to FL for a quick overnight trip to film my first review of a jet! Many thanks to AIN for the opportunity to work with them again on this fun gig. It was definitely nice to film something out of my box.

During the Summer I had to pinch myself to make sure it was really happening, but I got two press car loaners in the form of the Aston Martin Vantage and DB11! This was so surreal being able to drive these amazing machines around, photograph and film them till my hearts content.

Then in August I got to work with a group I’ve been wanting to work with for about 10 years since they launched /DRIVE. The assignment was to travel to CO and help film the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb! This was such an epic experience and now the three part documentary in streaming on Motor Trend!

As we close on 2020, I hope that 2021 will be better for all of us. I know it will still be challenging as we navigate out of this pandemic, but if we all look out for one another, we can get through it, together. Happy New Year!
